The odds are stacked high upon Kenichi Tago, the former world junior champion to beat Bao Chunlao, the reigning German Open champion. Nevertheless, based on his current form, Kenichi Tago would definitely stand a chance against Bao, who may be really exhausted from his previous day's match against Olympic champion, Lin Dan.

Badminton Video: 2010 All England Super Series Badminton Men Singles Semi Finals - Lee Chong Wei vs Peter Gade

Two of my favorite players, Lee Chong Wei and Peter Gade have to play each other again for the second time this year in which the first time encounter was in the Korea Open where Chong Wei emerged as the winner. I always admire Chong Wei for his speed and never-say-die attitude on the court while Peter Gade being the more experienced player has that flair and trick shots that always keep me guessing and excited.

Badminton Video: 2010 All England Super Series Badminton Men Doubles Quarter Finals - Lars Paaske/Jonas Rasmussen vs Gan Teik Chai/Tan Bin Shen

The independent players from Malaysia, Tan Bin Shen and Gan Teik Chai defied the odds of getting through the early rounds of this championship by Yohan Hadikusumo Wiratama/Wai Hong Wong (from Hong Kong) followed by the recent champion of German Open, Chai Biao/Zhang Nan. This time, they had to play the more veteran pair from Denmark.

Following the retirement of Donna Kellogg, Anthony Clark was recently paired up with a new female player, Heather Olver and based on their recent perforance in the All England, they are definitely faring very well as a new mixed doubles pair. Although considered an uprising player from Korea, Shon Wan Ho is definitely a player to look out for considering his previous rounds performance in the 100th All England Championship where he beat Wacha Przemyslaw, the number one player from Poland, Chan Yan Kit from Hong Kong and then Chen Long, another young talent from China who was on form to emerge runner up in the recent German Open. Did he give Chong Wei a run for his money in this tournament?

While the Chinese used to totally dominate the Women Singles event, we are seeing more competitors who can challenge this pool of players, namely, Wong Mew Choo, Sainah Nehwal, Tine Rasmussen and Juliane Schenk. This is an exciting match which again proves to be a typical barricade that Tine Rasmussen has to overcome in most tournaments since there are so many women singles talented players in every Super Series from China.
